Pied Cuckoo


Pied Cuckoo or Pied Crested Cuckoo or Jacobin Cuckoo. They have a prominent crest, as seen in the picture above, and a long, graduated tail (hidden along a branch). The slight yellowinsh color on its underparts indicate that this is not a fully grown adult. This was spotted in the valley of "Sinhgad Fort" near Pune.

Synchronized diving!


On the last Sunday I had an apportunity to visit local park called "Bird Valley" where I could witness this fantastic landig of Spot-billed ducks! It just reminded me of olympics games of synchonized swiming!
