This is the famous regional Meteorological department building located at ShivajiNagar, Pune. It is popularly known as "Shimla Office". The picture was taken from a "photography prohibited" zone. ;)

Picture perfect

This picture was taken on Pune-Satara Road Near Pune, India. The special thing here is that this shot was taken from the back seat of motorbike which was moving at the speed of 80 kmph.

Take off

This is an Egret! Early morning it took off as it saw me with my lens! :) Its vivid yellow feets attract the attentions in the green background!

COW! This beautiful cow stare at me as I was photographing some birds in the vicinity! Cow happen to be a sacred animal in India and is worshiped routinely!

Pogostemon deccanensis

This picture was taken at KAAS plateau near Satara. This place is commonly called as 'Flower Vally' of Maharashatra. The flowers were identified as "Pogostemon deccanensis"

Pied Cuckoo

Pied Cuckoo or Pied Crested Cuckoo or Jacobin Cuckoo. They have a prominent crest, as seen in the picture above, and a long, graduated tail (hidden along a branch). The slight yellowinsh color on its underparts indicate that this is not a fully grown adult. This was spotted in the valley of "Sinhgad Fort" near Pune.

Synchronized diving!

On the last Sunday I had an apportunity to visit local park called "Bird Valley" where I could witness this fantastic landig of Spot-billed ducks! It just reminded me of olympics games of synchonized swiming!
