Condemnation!

Here at PhotoKatta, we strongly condemn the brutal and shameful act of terrorism in  Mumbai! Such coward attacks will not hurt the motives of common people, not only in Mumbai but all across Globe! We pay our tribute to those who lost their lives in the incidence.

again an insect

Insects always attract me for MACRO pics. This was just another I found on Rohida fort at Bhor Near Pune.

Carnivorous plant!

Yes! Some plants are carnivourus and one of them is Drosera Indica (गवती दवबिंदू). The marvolous droplets seen near the delicate pink flower are not the dew drops but a pericular type of sticky liquid which make the passing insects to stick on the branches. The insects are then 'dissolved' by the chemicals in the dropletes and the dissolved material is then consumed by the plant! Drosera Indica is found in Africa, Australia and India (the name indica is derived from India).This perticular plant was found in "Varandha ghat" near Bhor in the state of Maharashtra.

Flight of an Seagull!

Alysicarpus belgaumensis (गुलाबी शेवरा)

A beautiful pink flower of Alysicarpus belgaumensis (गुलाबी शेवरा). Early mornig is the time when dew dances on the trees, which makes this flower even more beautiful!

Martynia Annua (विंचवी)

The intense violet spots along with a  straming yellow lines on a equally marvelous pink color makes this Martynia Annua (विंचवी) a really beautiful wildflower. I also like the small hairs accumulating the due-drops!
