Green bee eater in flight!



Today morning was excellent! We went to nearby fort - Sinhgad, where we spent substantial time trying to get the flight of green bee eater. It turns out that these bee eaters are extremely erratic in their flight so it required substantial time and shots to get this pic!

A frog!


We found this beautiful frog near 'Tamhini' village. It looked beautiful on the backdrop of the green grass! The frog was bit unusual!

GoFlaminGo!


These are Flamingos! They are winter visitors. They come to India from Africa(?) every winter and they come in huge flocks. Thousands of them have arrived in the backwaters of Ujani dam at Bhigvan (भिगवण) on Pune-Solapur highway. The pink color of the Flamingos is of its own kind! (The last bird in the photo is not pink as it is still  a juvenile).
